Sustainability is an underlying theme with Capital One Center's approach to urban development. We are proud to offer the Northern Virginia region a mixed-use campus just steps away from the McLean Metro with a bikeable, pedestrian-friendly environment. The selected location for this development is well situated for major roadway access and will benefit from WMATA’s McLean Station on the Silver Line. Along with Tysons’ and Fairfax County’s push to include bikeable and walkable infrastructure, this project and the Tysons East neighborhood will provide a truly mixed-use development, offering a vibrant, well-connected, multi-modal live/work/play destination and cultural center.
Further, Capital One Center is one of the first large-scale mixed-use urban developments in Tysons, which was formerly known as a suburban destination only accessible by car. Our development’s unique attractions and their proximity to public transit can motivate behavior change as Tysons becomes a more urban and walkable place. Additionally, Capital One Center’s amenities allow for our Associates to stay onsite for daily needs (meals, workouts, afterwork entertainment, team activities, and even hotel lodging) which will reduce individuals’ carbon footprint.
We make metro and bike usage easy -- hopefully next time you visit, you’ll consider taking the Metro or biking over!
