The Perfect Summer Saturday at Starr Hill Biergarten

Planning a Saturday adventure is always fun, especially if it involves heading to your favorite new biergarten in Tysons. Whether you’re looking for a full day of fun, or just seeing where the day takes you, Starr Hill Biergarten is the perfect place to start. First, you’ll want to come early. The biergarten opens at 11, which is the perfect time to arrive (pro tip: come via metro, the Silver Line is only a block away!) and secure your favorite spot either in a comfortable chair or in front of the amphitheater on the grass. If you forgot a blanket, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!  Make sure to come hungry, thirsty, and ready for a ton of ways to have fun. On Saturdays and Sundays, Starr Hill offers music in the afternoon and evening, so the possibilities are endless. Guests can also engage in a friendly competition with corn hole matches set up right in front of the stage. Winner buys the next round!  

There’s 20+ beverages on tap and a colossal amount of cans…so what should you order? Ask your bartenders what’s new on tap or the newest seasonal cocktail.  Start with something light and easily drinkable, like the new Sun Burn or Sour Beer varieties (Green Light Cocktail, anyone?).  Next, text your friends (if you haven’t already) and get ready to just relax.  Bring your kids (the furry pups and not so furry humans) and soak in the sun and vibes in the open lawn with the summer air whirling around you. The Perch and the Biergarten are really unique to the DC Metro Area, with so much open space to run, play – or just relax on the 11th floor of the Capital One Center’s newest hot spot.  

Make sure to carve out your whole day if you can, because after alight lunch and some light(er) beer sippin’, you will definitely want to stay for dinner (Starr Hill’s BBQ Chicken Sandwich with Roxanne Relish is EPIC), watch the sun set, and dance the rest of the night away to your favorite high-energy band as the night comes to a close).
