The growing Italian empire debuts its latest area location on Tuesday, April 30
nIn the midst of the sprawling Capital One Center, Tysons’ newest retail, residential, and commercial development, soaring towers and endless panes of glass and metal abound. But in the midst of this corporate campus, a warm little piece of Italy has taken root. Stellina Pizzeria debuts its newest location today, Tuesday, April 30, marking the restaurant’s fifth — and biggest — DMV outpost to date (1610 Capital One Drive, Tysons, Virginia).
Since debuting the first Stellina in 2019 in the Union Market district, co-owners Antonio Matarazzo and chef Matteo Venini have been on a tear, opening the subsequent three locations in the next three years. But with the new 5,000-square-foot Stellina Tysons, they took their time. The originally planned 2023 opening was delayed by continued aftershocks of the pandemic and the workload of managing four successful locations.
