NoVA Mag: Perchfest to Return to Capital One Center with Shrek-Themed Weekend
With over 17,000 people attending previous Perchfest weekends, it’s clear that the biannual festival is a hit with Northern Virginians. This weekend, Perchfest returns to the Capital One Center campus, but this time with a Shrek twist.
The two-day event takes place from 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday, September 20 and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 at The Perch in Tysons.
The Shrek-themed festivities at Perchfest kicks off when the Capital One Center campus turns green at 7:15 p.m. on Friday night. The weekend festival welcomes the new Broadway in Tysons seasons, which starts on September 20 with five performances of Shrek the Musical. Tickets are required to attend the performances at Capital One Hall.
The Shrek-themed activities don’t stop there — hit the mini golf course at Perch Putt to find a swamp makeover, find Instagrammable moments throughout The Perch, and check out the Shrek suites at The Watermark Hotel. Plus, the restaurants surrounding Capital One Hall serve menus inspired by the hit musical, including Shrek-green margaritas at Ometeo.
